In the world of kubernetes where you could have 1000's of POD's running in your cluster, it's of utmost importance to have a well defined security policy and ensure network sanity.

This talk will focus on 2 open source projects which when combined together provides a powerful mechanism in enabling network security in your entire cluster.

Calico - CNI plugin for integration with orchestrators which uses the container networking interface. It provides a reliable security policy model. Calico policy is defined in terms of security profiles, which contain lists of rules to apply as well as sets of tags.

OpenStack Helm Infra - Provides charts for services that are required to run OpenStack-Helm(OSH). Installing calico with network policy enabled is as simple as running a single command.

This talk would also include a demo showcasing the magic of OSH infra to simplify the process of securing your network infrastructure by leveraging calico's security policy model.
